Last night I stumbled upon Dogpile.com, a search engine that donates a portion of it’s profits to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
At first I was skeptical of using another search engine besides Google; but after I decided to abandon my brand loyalty for a test run, I was pretty impressed! After a little investigation I figured out why the search engine is so good… It combines the results Google, Yahoo, Live Search, and Ask so you get the best of all worlds. They even have toolbars and widgets you can download to make searching even easier!
Their current fundraising goal for 2009 is to raise $1,000,000 – so far they have raised $331,917, so they are not doing too bad for their second month of fundrasing! Good job Dogpile.com!
Bottom Line: Nice Service + Good Concept what else can you ask for?
